Don't Form Any Alliance With Obaseki, You Will Regret It

 DON’T ALIGN WITH OBASEKI, YOU WILL REGRET LATER.

My dear Edo people please hear my plea.

I write this, because I know many people have a very short memory of the course of history in Edo state. I am therefore writing this piece, like I did in the past, to educate and at the same time remind many, that the governor of Edo state, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, is someone that Edo people should distance themselves from.

Comrade Adams Aliu Oshiomhole was the first man to taste the bitter dose of Obaseki’s treachery. Oshiomhole stood by Obaseki to ensure that he succeeded him as the governor of Edo state, but Oshiomhole completely turned a deaf ear to people’s advice against supporting Godwin Obaseki. But, he later regretted.

When Obaseki eventually emerged as the governor, he worked with others to remove Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Oshiomhole will never forget Obaseki in a hurry as all of Obaseki evil treatments to him and everyone close to Oshiomhole, are written in the books of remembrance.

Names of several other people that tasted the bitter dose from Obaseki’s treacheries and ingratitude include Frank Okiye, who was used to conduct a midnight initiation so called Inauguration… I only hope Okiye will still be able to come out to contest for election in future.

What about Charles Idahosa, aka Charlie Tempo, Tony Kabaka, Kabiru Adjoto and all of those that supported and campaigned for him to become governor?

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state will not forget Obaseki in a hurry… Wike will forever regret welcoming Obaseki into the family of the Peoples Democratic Party, when he was kicked out of the All Progressives Congress, APC. Of course, Wike has long since apologized to Oshiomhole and APC for rescuing Obaseki.

Wait a minute, how are all those ten members that he used to constitute a ‘comedy House of Assembly’ faring with him? A number of them are suffering in silence as they are being used by the emperor to support his misrule and draconian administration. It pains me that Esan people and Edo people in general, are the ones suffering this misrule today.

In all of these, the people at the receiving end are the Edo people who were deceived into believing that Oshiomhole is the bad one while Obaseki is the saint. 

Edo people know better today.

Finally, my word of advice goes to all the members of the Edo state house of Assembly in waiting… align with Obaseki at your peril. A word is enough for the wise.
