Chief of Staff, CoS, to Edo state governor, Mallam Gani Audu, has commended the inspiration and initiatives of the Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria, BBIGN, describing the group as most articulate and formidable,  especially in view of its area of  focus on sensitizing the people at the grassroots, an initiative, which he said aligns with the programmes and policies of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hon. Audu, made the commendation, Monday, September 15 2025, while playing host to the executive and members of the group who paid him a courtesy visit in his office at government house, Benin City.

Addressing the Chief of Staff on the purpose of the visit,  the national director of ethics, rules and protocols of the group, Comrade Stanley Okpugie, who led the State executive under the watch of Comrade Oriaifoh Godwins as the Coordinator, said that BBIGN is a political support group which has transparency and accountability as its benchmark, explaining  that the mission and vision is mainly concerned with sensitising the people at the grassroot level on the need for them to support  the programme and policies of Mr President's Renewed Hope Initiative as well as that of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  aimed at ameliorating the plight of the people.

Comrade Okpugie added that the  structures of BBIGN spans from the National level down to the state, and the local government as well as  the ward levels for the purposes of grassroots mobilisation towards 2027 general election in the country.

But responding, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Gani Audu,  thanked the BBIGN's executive and members for their visit, saying he was away on official assignment when the South South Zonal and state exco were inaugurated, just as he has also commended the Initiative of the group.

According to him "this group is a laudable one, when the people are aware of the need for good leadership, of course, everyone will participate in the political process".

"President Bola Ahmed Tinubu started from zero,  level". " I believe Tinubu is the most sincere of all the Presidents; we have ever had in this country".

"Among all the candidates that contested with Mr President in 2023, he still stands out as the best".

" We need to exercise some patience with him, because It is laughable when I see some people that ruled Nigeria from 1999 to 2023, criticising the government of President Tinubu"

" To repair the damage done to the country over several years, is not an easy task and i do not expect that to be done within two years of this present administration.

"There is no point deceiving ourselves, the country was already going bad before Tinubu came on board"

Hon. Audu cited instances of the bold steps of removing the subsidy, that was hitherto a scam, the Introduction of the students' interest free loan policy, the coastal road project, among other initiatives introduced by President Tinubu, as the hallmarks of good governance in the country, insisting if the people are patient for all the initiatives introduced by Mr  President, it will go a long way in changing our narratives.

The COS  assured of his readiness  to work with this group for the timely propagation  of the Renewed Hope Agenda to the grassroots, especially with regard to his excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, who has promised 2.5 million votes from Edo state, come 2027 Presidential election".
