Election 2023: Third Tenure is Alien to Esanland

The convener of Esan Akugbe for Good Leadership Unity Forum, Comrade Irabor Shaba Jnr., aka Shaba Mien-Mien, has called on all Esan sons and daughters to jettison the call by a certain politician to vote for him for a third term, saying, third term bid is a no-no in Esanland.
Speaking with our correspondent on phone, Comrade Shaba said; “Esan people are too civilized to be swayed by lies and tricks by some self-centered politicians who think they can use money to deceive the people. No wonder they prefer for the people to remain impoverished…”
Continuing, Comrade Shaba said Senator Odion Ugbesia, and Rt. Hon. Patrick Ikhariale tried it in time past, but they failed woefully, and that, he said; gave the current Senator representing Edo Central the opportunity to emerge and be in that position for a two straight term of eight years. Does the present senator now want to kick against an agreement that he benefited from? Comrade Shaba asked.
According to comrade Shaba, going by the quality and caliber of people that Esanland prides herself with, it will be unheard that one person who has occupied an elective position for eight years, is still anticipating continuing for another four years, especially when such person was never impeached, recalled or suspended from office at any time.
Continuing, he said; “…eight years is more than enough for any serious person to make impact and add values to the life of the people; after all, Professor Ambrose Alli was in office for only four years, yet he made enormous impact that many benefitted from and are still benefitting from today”. He therefore called on all Esan people not to allow sentiments to becloud their sense of good judgment in making their choices in the forth coming election.
