AAU SIT is Machinery of Destruction
…some Esan people are supporting this madness

The Convener of Esan Akugbe for Good Leadership Unity Forum, Comrade Irabor Shaba Mien-mien, has pointed out that the Special Intervention Team, SIT, supposedly set up to reposition the Ambrose Alli University, is a machinery for destroying the university.
Comrade Shaba who revealed this recently in a telephone chat with our Correspondent, added that; “… the Special Intervention Team, SIT, that was set up to manage the affairs of the university, after the expiration of the tenure of Professor Onimawu as the Vice Chancellor of the university, is a big fraud and a machinery purposely set up to destroy the university; and from information and available evidence, a number of Esan people are conniving with the team to destroy the university". He said.
Speaking on his reason for coming to such conclusion, Comrade Shaba said; “…it is very clear that the Special Intervention Team after one and a half years of managing the affairs of the university, hasn’t been able to achieve any meaningful thing, as situation kept getting worse by the day, yet the governor went ahead to extend the tenure of the SIT as if they are doing well…why should they remain, even after they have exhausted the time they are legally permitted to operate?…” He asked. When asked who the Esan people he accused of conniving with the SIT are, he said; “at the appropriate time, we will name and shame them as they are all enemies of Esanland”.
Comrade Shaba, who lamented over the selective payment of salaries and in some cases, non-payment of salaries of some staff for up to one year, said; “…this must not continue”. He called on every well-meaning Esan sons and daughters to come together, irrespective of their differences to put a stop to Obaseki’s secret plans to shut down Ambrose Alli University, like he did to the College of Education, Igueben.
