Chief Okodogbe becomes Member of Agua Council of Elders

Double Chief Henry Okodogbe, the OMOTOR I of Oghara Kingdom and the Ojiemudiaimen of Irrua Kingdom, was on Thursday 18th October 2023, admitted into the Council of Elders of his country home, Agua-Irrua in Esan central Local Government Area of Edo state.


The ceremony for his acceptance into Agua Council of Chiefs started in the home of the eldest man in Uwamelomon family, Agua-Irrua, after which the ceremony of his formal acceptance into the Elders council/Odion cadre, was held in Agua Town Hall.

Speaking, Double Chief Henry Okodogbe expressed his immense gratitude to God for all that happened to him over the years, saying; '...it can only be God'. 

Continuing, he said; '...in Esanland, it is customary for one to be automatically admitted into the Council of Elders in one's village once you are conferred with a chieftaincy title...but in all of these, I give all glory and thanks to God' 

Double Chief Henry Okodogbe, was on the 26th of June, 2021, during the 50th Coronation anniversary of the Okaijesan of Esanland, honoured by HRM, Alhaji W. O Momodu II, JP, CON, the Ogirrua of Irrua and the Okaijesan of Esanland. He was conferred with the title of the OMOTOR 1 of OGHARA kingdom, on the 9th of August 2022, by HRM, Noble Oyibo Eshemitan, FCA, Orefe III and on Saturday, 14th October 2023, was conferred with the title: The Ojiemudiaimen of Irrua Kingdom, by the Ogirrua of Irrua and the Okaijesan of Esanland.
