Dissolve SIT of AAU...Esan Akugbe charges EDHA

Esan Akugbe for Good Leadership Unity Forum, a non Political socio-cultural group that promotes the interests of Esan land, has called on the Honourable Members of Edo state House of Assembly, EDHA, to immediately dissolve the Special Intervention Team, SIT, purportedly set up to reposition the Ambrose Alli University, AAU, Ekpoma.
In a letter dated 22nd December, 2022 and signed by the Convener of the group, Comrade Irabor Shaba Jnr, aka Shaba Mien-mien, and the Secretary, Mr. Martin Momodu, the group called on Edo state legislative body to dissolve the Special Intervention Team, and set up a governing Council to run the University. The group is also asking Edo state House of Assembly to interprete the law that sets up the Special Intervention Team, for Ambrose Alli University, as they are aware that the full period for which the team can operate, according to the legal instrument that created the SIT, has been exhausted.
In their letter to the Members of EDHA, Esan Akugbe for Good Leadership Unity Forum pointed out that; "... looking at every available evidence in Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, the Special Intervention Team, in it's one and a half years of managing the University, has failed woefully in the said "positive transformation" of the institution that the extension of their tenure is meant to achieve... "
In view of their claim, the group called on the honourable members to visit the university so as to get a true picture of of the harrowing situation that the staff and students of the institution are facing.
